NBC pays 3.2 billion dividend to Government |

The National Bank of Commerce (NBC Ltd) today paid dividends of TZS 3.2 BILLION to the Government of Tanzania. Consolidating Holding Corporation (CHC) received the payment on behalf of the government. The Government of Tanzania has a 30% shareholding in NBC Ltd. The handing over ceremony was held at the Headquarters of Consolidating Holding Corporation, Dar es Salaam.

The National Bank of
Commerce has recently opened the first Express Pre –
Fabricated Branch in Tanzania, in Mbagala ward Dar es
Salaam. Mbagala ward is a highly populated area, which now
enjoys having an NBC branch in the area. Located in Temeke
district of Dar es salaam, Mbagala ward is rapidly growing
as more and more residents and business people move into the
area. NBC, true to its vision of bringing convenience to
their customers, used the opportunity to open a fully
fledged Express Pre –Fabricated Branch to cater for the
financial requirements of the people in the area.

NBC has today handed over
new medical equipment worth Tshs 54 m for its mobile clinics
operating in Dar es Salaam Region.
The Acting NBC Managing Director Johann De Wet handed over
the equipment to the Dar es Salaam Public Health Delivery
Systems Boards Association in the presence of the Minister
of State in the Prime Minister’s Office: Regional
Administration and Local Government. Hon. Mizengo Pinda
(MP), Representatives of Donor Agencies, Local Government
and NGO representatives, Stakeholders in the Medical
Industry and members of the press at a colorful ceremony
held at the Karimjee Grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Adding airtime on prepaid mobile phones will today become easier
and more convenient, thanks to a joint effort between Vodacom
Tanzania and NBC Ltd.
The two companies have developed a product that will allow
prepaid mobile phone users to go to any NBC ATM and pay for
additional airtime using their ATM cards. In a process as simple
as withdrawing cash, customers can recharge any Vodacom Prepaid
number in five easy steps from the 60 NBC ATMs across the
country, at any time.

NBC Donates To The Visually Impaired |

The National Bank of Commerce today donated 10 Perkins Braillers and 240 cartons of Brailler papers to The Tanzania Society of the Blind, at a colourful ceremony held at the Sinza Headquarters of TSB, valued at Tzs 10,400,000. This donation is part of NBC’s Corporate Social Investment initiative, which focuses on three key areas, namely Education, Health and Job Creation.
