NBC DONATES 22 DESKS TO MBEZI LOUIS PRIMARY SCHOOL
The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) through its Corporate social responsibility program donated 22 desks to Mbezi Louis Primary School. The donation was done by NBC staff at Mlimani City branch, Dar es Salaam. Speaking during the handing over ceremony at the school’s premises in Dar es Salaam, the NBC’s Mlimani City Branch Manager, Mr. Frank S. Mwanga said “we are pleased to handover these desks to this school as part of our ongoing support to the education sector in our country through our corporate social responsibility programme. Once again NBC has continued its commitment to uplifting the standard of education countrywide by responding to the needs for desks at Mbezi Louis Primary School”. NBC’s Corporate Social Responsibility program aims at improving the quality of education in schools countrywide. The provision of desks to Mbezi Louis Primary School follows other similar donations NBC has made to various schools and higher learning institutions throughout the country. “The donation is intended to address the shortage of desks in schools where a considerable number of children often find themselves having to stand up or sit down on the floor during lessons”, added Mr. Mwanga.
