The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) today held the 2nd draw to pick winners of the ongoing NBC Malengo account campaign that was launched on May 8th 2009. The 3 month’s campaign will see 9 NBC Malengo account holders win cash prizes of TZS 1 million each every month.  The NBC Malengo account is a savings account that enables the account holder to deposit their money anytime but can only withdraw it once in a year and they earn compound interest every time they deposit money into their Malengo account. NBC Managing Director, Christo de Vries while conducting the draw said “The public’s response to the ongoing NBC Malengo campaign is very encouraging and as NBC we are challenged to come up with more innovative products for our clients.”  The first draw was held in June and three winners from Njombe, Musoma and Tunduma branches each won TZS 1 million shillings that was deposited into their respective Malengo savings accounts. The 1st draw winner from Njombe Mrs. Kastora Mercy said “The NBC Malengo account campaign started at an appropriate time because I want to expand my tailoring business and build a house and the money I am saving will allow me to achieve my dream.”  There will be a draw at the end of every month to pick and announce winners.
