RALLY SPONSORSHIP - OMAR BAKHRESA

The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has renewed its annual 23000 US Dollar sponsorship with one of Tanzania’s top motor rally drivers, Omar Bakhresa. The sponsorship package caters for Local and Regional rallies for year 2006-2007. 

NBC’s Marketing Manager William Kallaghe said, “The bank’s commitment towards this sponsorship has been necessitated by the fact that the driver has demonstrated a lot of discipline, courage and skills in the sport. 

By doing so, he has set a good example to other up and coming motor rally drivers not only in Tanzania but the entire East African region ”. 

Kallaghe further elaborated, “As a leading bank, we have taken a keen interest in his progress in the sport and we have been very much impressed with his performance.  Motor rally, as a sport, has grown in popularity, and has been drawing large crowds wherever the rallies are held. This is testimony of the fact that Tanzanians are attracted to the sport.   

“As a progressive Tanzanian bank, we realize that our own success and development is interlinked with the success of the local community as well, ” said Kallaghe. 

Apart from sports, NBC has been supporting the community in Education, Employment and Health. 

NBC to date boasts of having the largest VISA enabled ATM footprint totaling 58, supported by 35 branches countrywide.
