NBC names its 2,000 Internet customer

Benjamin Karumuna from Morogoro has been named as the National Bank of Commerce (NBC’s) 2,000th Internet banker, the Bank’s Marketing Manager, William Kallaghe has announced.

Internet banking was launched in November 2002 and has proved to be one of the most successful of NBC’s new services since it began operations in 2000.

It offers NBC customers the smartest way to manage their money. No traveling to the branch, no queues, just fast, safe banking through the Internet from the office or home. NBC customers have the freedom to manage their accounts in their own time.

Benjamin Karumuna was congratulated by William Kallaghe at a function at the NBC Head Office in Dar es Salaam. As a token of the bank’s appreciation, his subscription fee was refunded.

As the longest established bank in Tanzania, NBC has the largest electronically linked network of 33 branches, supported by two agency offices strategically placed throughout Tanzania. NBC not only has the largest ATM network of 41 ATM’s but also offers the most convenient 24-hour banking service in Tanzania.
