Privacy Code, which governs the behaviour of employees and
suppliers with regard to the accuracy and security of all

Protecting Customer
Information - What is "Customer Information"?
Customer information refers to information
that identifies or relates to a customer - whether the customer
is an individual or a business. This information includes
details such as: name, age, ID numbers, assets, liabilities,
income and payment records. Why do we collect customer information?
We use this information to service your account, by bringing
to your attention details of our other services and products
which may be of benefit to you, and to help learn more about
the financial services you are interested in. The more we
know, the better we can serve you.
How do we safeguard your information?
Keeping your financial information secure is one of our
most important responsibilities. Our Privacy Code governs
the behaviour of employees and suppliers with regard to
accuracy, confidentiality and security of all customers'
information.
Information Protection Guidelines:

We will not collect
your information without obtaining your prior consent.
The choice to provide us with financial information is
always yours.

In financial dealings,
withholding certain details may limit the services we
are able to provide.

Consent to collect
information can be expressed (for example signing an agreement)
or implied (e.g. if you are given an opportunity to opt-out
of a specific form of information sharing, but choose
not to do so, we imply that you choose to share this information
with us).

The type of information
you'll be asked to provide will vary according to the
service or services you require.

Most of the information
we maintain concerning our customers is stored in databases
that have built-in safeguards to ensure the privacy and
confidentiality of that information.

We will never sell
or otherwise make available customer information to other
orginasations or parties other than for exceptional circumstances.

As a condition of employment,
employees who have access to customer information are
required to abide by the privacy standards of NBC Ltd.
Sharing Customer Information

Responsibility: The
only instances in which we are permitted to disclose client
information is when it is:

Authorised by the client
concerned: NBC Ltd. is made up of a number of different
service providers, such as our commercial bank, corporate,
credit and risk division, insurance and more. By sharing
information about your accounts among our different segments,
we can serve you more efficiently. Other companies routinely
contact us for credit and financial information about
customers. We will however only share your personal information
in all these instances, where disclosure is made at your
request or with your consent.

Required by law: This
most often relates to government tax reporting requirements.
We will however in all instances required by law only
disclose the information specifically requested.

Necessary to protect
the bank's interest: This will not be used as a reason
for disclosing information about you or your accounts
(including your name and address) to any one else, including
other companies in our group for marketing purposes. However,
basic procedures that protect the bank's interests sometimes
lead to the disclosure of specific client information
to third parties. For example: returning a cheque due
to insufficient funds in an account.

In the public interest:
Sometimes we are asked to disclose client information
for matters of public interest, e.g. to assist in the
prevention of crimes. Before complying with these requests,
we take every precaution to ensure the authorities involved
have legitimate grounds to make such a request.

Credit reference agencies:
Information about your personal debts owed to us may be
disclosed to credit reference agencies, where you have
fallen behind with your payments and you have not made
proposals satisfactory to us for repayment of your debt
following formal demand and you have been given at least
28 days notice of our intention to disclose, or where
you have given us written consent, or where you have a
cheque referred to drawer, the information is placed on
a cheque verification service.

Our commitment to you,
our customer: We do not and will not sell or provide personal
client information to third parties for independent use.
NBC Privacy Code Guidelines
As a responsible service provider, we are
obliged to act in a trustworthy fashion when we gather and
use information provided by you.
Our behaviour is guided by the following codes of conduct
as set out in the NBC Privacy Code:

We are accountable Each member and employee of NBC Ltd.
is responsible for the customer information under his/
her control and accountable for the bank's compliance
with the 10 privacy guidelines.

We are transparent The purposes for which customer information
is collected shall be identified before or at the time
it is collected.

Code #3:
We require consent The prior knowledge and consent of
the individual customer is required for the collection,
use or disclosure of information.

Code #4:
We are fair The collection of customer information shall
be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes
identified. Information shall be collected by fair and
lawful means.

Code #5:
We maintain strict control Customer information will not
be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for
which the information was collected, except with the consent
of the client, as required by law, or to protect the interests
of members of NBC Ltd. or as required in situations of
public duty.

Code #6:
We aspire to complete accuracy Customer information shall
be accurate, complete and current as is necessary for
the identified purposes for which it is to be used.

We will safeguard all informationSafeguards appropriate
to the sensitivity of the information will protect customer
information.

We believe in openness Employees of NBC Ltd. will make
available to customers, specific information about their
policies and practices relating to the management of their
information.

We will supply individual access Upon request, a customer
will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure
of his/her customer information and shall be given access
to it. A customer will be able to challenge the accuracy
and completeness of the information and have it amended
as appropriate.

We are responsible When it comes to handling customer
complaints and suggestions, customers are able to challenge
compliance with the codes of conduct with the relevant
employees of NBC Ltd. who are accountable for compliance.

also help maintain the security of your banking information
by: Helping us maintain accurate records by letting us know
when changes occur in your situation so that we can update
our records accordingly.
