I want to register for Mobile Banking, how should I go about it?

You need to have an existing account with NBC first. You can register for NBC Mobile Banking Services using the following quick steps:

  1. Visit any NBC Branch
  2. Fill in the Mobile Banking form
  3. Sign the form
  4. Submit the form to the Customer Service personnel.
  5. Your account will be created and you will receive a random generated Mobile Banking PIN (once you access the mobile banking account, please change your PIN immediately).

How long does it take to register for Mobile Banking services?

It takes 24 working hours before the customer will receive a Mobile Banking registration message.

Is there a registration fee for Mobile Banking Services?

No, there is no access fee.

How do I access my Mobile Banking?

Dial *150*55# to access your mobile banking account.

I have forgotten my PIN, what should I do?

Kindly visit your nearest branch, fill in the Mobile Banking form and tick Password Reset on the Mobile Banking section.

My contact details have changed. How do I update my Mobile Banking Account?

Kindly visit your nearest branch, fill in the Mobile Banking form and tick Amendments on Mobile Banking Section

My phone has been stolen. How do I block my Mobile Banking Account?

Can I pay for my LUKU, DSTV or any other bills?

My Mobile Banking account has been debited, but I have not received Airtime/MPESA Funds on my phone. Please assist.

What are the service charges for each product?

Can I transfer to other banks?

No, you cannot transfer funds to other banks.

Can I transfer from my MPESA to my Bank account?

Currently this service is not available.

I have transferred funds to a wrong account number, what do I do?

This becomes a police case. However, NBC will provide you will all the necessary support you may require to recover your loss.

I lost my chip card do I need to register for mobile banking facility again?

No, you do not need to reregister with NBC Mobile Banking facility. Once you have already registered your new chip with your service provider you will be able to access your mobile banking facility again.

However, it is important to suspend your account for the period you do not have your chip and reactivate once you have a new chip so as to avoid fraud

Security

Security is ensured on NBC Mobile Banking. All Mobile Banking transactions require your PIN. A PIN is needed each time to gain access to the service. Thus, even if unauthorised person has possession of your phone, he cannot make any transaction on your Mobile Banking account without your PIN.
