
The SME Business Unit was established to respond to the financing needs of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) segment customers. SME businesses make considerable contribution to Tanzania, both in terms of wealth and employment creation and require specific and focused support. The SME Business Banking Unit provides dedicated service to satisfy the special needs of the SME segment with an emphasis on the provision of relevant credit and trade products and services. NBC defines the SME business segment as sole proprietors / registered businesses and limited liability companies with capital between TZS 5 million and TZS 250 million and want to borrow within the range of capital.
